Cllr Diane Lamb (Ward Councillor)
Six Members of the Public
1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
There were no apologies for absence
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Liam Higgins and Brian Watts expressed a declaration of interest.
3. Planning Application 11/00256/FUL Replacement Dwelling at Seven Summers, Russell Hill, Thornhaugh
Meeting convened at Seven Summers to discuss planning application, drawings and plans were examined by all present, and various discussions ensued. The general opinion of all present was that the proposed new dwelling was of such a large scale and height as to be totally unsuitable to the site and was certainly not in keeping with the surrounding properties. The garage was too high given the proximity of a nearby dwelling which is a chalet type.
All dwellings surrounding are of a cottage or chalet style type, with roof lines 3 to 4 metres below the proposed roofline of the proposed new dwelling. All residents present stated that they would send in letters of objection and it was agreed by all members of Thornhaugh Parish Council that the Parish Council would also be objecting to the planning application.
